ABOUT > HISTORY

Michael Stahlnecker formed Computer Power Cabling (CPC) in 1984. CPC is a UL approved manufacturer of cable assemblies, primarily used to distribute power under raised computer room floors. Since these cables are typically required when equipment is upgraded or moved, there was also the need to remove the older equipment. CPC took on this responsibility and began to either recycle or remanufacture and sell the equipment. This segment of the business eclipsed the cable business in annual sales several fold. In 1992 , Mr. Stahlnecker formed Computer Systems Services to isolate this part of the business.

In 1995, CPC acquired the assets of ACESS, Inc., which was an engineering and construction management company specializing in the design and construction of critical environment facilities. They also had extensive experience in the Federal Integration market. This merger enabled CPC to offer to its customers a complete turn-key package to provide an engineered critical environment facility, incorporating remanufactured or new equipment at a very competitive price.

As a business philosophy, CPC tried to look at each segment of its business as a potential service center. At this point we developed the service portion of our business. Our factory trained and certified technicians are used to test the environmental support equipment after the remanufacturing process to assure it meets the original manufacturers' specifications.

We also provide third party 24-hour remedial and emergency service support for Liebert, Powerware, MGE and other brands of computer grade environmental support equipment.

In 2000, CPC had grown to a point where we added additional partners to manage each segment of our business. We reincorporated into MBC Technologies, Inc to accommodate the new corporate structure.

In 2002, MBC Technologies, Inc acquired the assets of Industrial Machine who was the area distributor for Katolight generators. We hired their sales and maintenance staff, effectively doubling our resources in these areas. This merger enabled us to expand beyond the data center into the broader commercial and residential emergency power markets.

In 2003 MBC Technologies became a VAR for GE Industrial Products adding the GE brand of UPS, switchgear and TVSS products. We also secured a GSA Contract for our GE and Katolight products as well as installation services to better enable us to market to the Federal Government. The GE brand recognition has enabled our marketing staff to gain entrance into a much broader segment of customers including the plan and spec market.

Today our core businesses include the engineered sales, installation and service of critical environment products including UPS, TVSS, generator and switchgear to a ever growing government, commercial, contractor and residential customer base. No other environmental contractor in today's "e-technology", "high availability" market can offer a more complete turn-key package than MBC Technologies,Inc. We have the engineering support, technically superior products, factory trained service, purchasing vehicles and the financial strength to meet our customers needs.
